If I could pick one common theme fro the past few years, it’s that everywhere I turn, people are talking about stress. The pace of change has put so much on our plates, it is impossible for many to comprehend how they could possibly take any more. At the same time, we fully expect to be asked to do more; to produce more; to contribute to the pursuit of ever increasing growth. According to the study, stressed meats (all meats, including fish) tastes different. So different, even restaurants (I use the term loosely) such as McDonalds and Wendy’s are putting pressure on suppliers to reduce stress on livestock prior to slaughter. Apparently, stress damages the meat on a cellular level, to the point where it can be downgraded to hamburger material. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to make the connection.
